Santiago is an excellent guide, with in-depth knowledge of Cantabria and its diverse traditions, history, and customs. The excursion is very enjoyable. I couldn't possibly choose a favorite among all the visits on the tour, because they were all fantastic: a great balance of history, architecture, nature, beaches, gastronomy, and local sites... it's a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it. Translate this opinion into English.

Both the driver (Oscar) and the guide (Héctor) were excellent, despite having to manage a mixed group and having to repeat comments and explanations in English after having given them in Spanish. They handled it well. The sequoia forest was wonderful (the weather was also great), although we only had a short time there. Comillas was also very nice, although, with the exception of Gaudí's Capricho, there wasn't enough time to see the rest properly. It rained on us in Santillana del Mar. Opinion translated. The experience was incredible. Our guide, Santiago, explained everything very clearly. It was a real pleasure to take this tour with someone who, in addition to knowing the history clearly, knows how to convey it. He was very cordial and friendly the whole time. The places we visited were wonderful, and I think the time spent in each place was just right because it's a long tour. Opinion translated. Show original.

I think there were a lot of us, approximately 35 Spaniards and 22 English people. The guide divided us into two groups, so he took turns leading the free tour, which meant he had a lot of free time and not much time to explain, since he had to split it all between two groups. I think there were many things left unexplained in both Comillas and Santillana, although I think there was even less explanation in the latter.

The bare minimum. They show you the bare minimum of both towns, but they don't even leave you time for the guided tours offered, for example, at the Marquis's house, which is next to Gaudí's Capricho. The bilingual tour, listening to the same thing in two languages, is very tedious. I recommend doing the excursion in your own car to get the most out of it; the buildings open to the public have their own guides who can give you a more detailed tour.

Translate this opinion into English.

Patricia, our guide, did a great job. Her explanations were very good, but the excursion suffers from planning issues, which is somewhat common when trying to cover too much. Comillas and Santillana del Mar have a rich enough heritage to deserve a few hours each. You appreciate the beauty of the place, but there is still much to see, which is typical in this type of excursions. Opinion translated. Show original.

Our guide, Patricia, gave us an incredibly boring day. Her way of speaking was full of filler words. She was so dull. Half the time she left us to our own devices, without us knowing where to go, and on top of that, the weather didn't help. Where do you go in a town you don't know when it's raining for more than an hour? In the morning, mid-morning, in the afternoon. A couple got lost, luckily they found us; the poor woman almost burst into tears. I've been with other guides and they weren't like that. This girl hardly spoke. And when she did, she didn't even wait for the group.

We loved it! Héctor was a great guide, and Silvia's detailed explanation of Gaudí's enchanting Capricho was outstanding. A highly recommended excursion, especially on a sunny day like we had; it was truly magnificent. Opinion translated. Show original.
