Ancient Greco-Roman culture extended its influence to western Anatolia, a discovery we'll make during this private excursion to Ephesus, complemented by a delightful Turkish wine tasting.
Tour itinerary: Explore the Greco-Roman city of Ephesus
At the designated time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Kusadasi and head north. A brief half-hour drive will bring us to Ephesus, a historic Greco-Roman city in Anatolia, proudly designated as a World Heritage Site.
Upon our arrival at this significant archaeological site, a guided tour of Ephesus awaits, revealing its prominent remnants, such as the Library of Celsus, the theater, and the Odeon. Curious about their functions? You won't have to wait long to find out!
Our exploration of Ephesus continues with a visit to the Temple of Hadrian, exploring the ruins of ancient latrines, and pausing at the Fountain of Trajan, which was dedicated to the first Hispanic emperor of the Roman Empire.
After our Ephesus tour, we venture to nearby vineyards. Here, we'll pause at a local winery for a tasting experience featuring seven Turkish wines paired with regional products. Delving into the nuances of aroma, flavor, and palate, you'll gain insights into local wine culture. The winery also provides an option for you to purchase a delicious lunch if you wish.
Following this stop, we conclude our journey, returning to your hotel in Kusadasi, with an estimated arrival six hours after the initial pickup.
