Villafamés Day Trip

At the designated time, we'll meet outside the Castellón de la Plana Tourist Office ready to start the trip. For 30 minutes we'll travel onboard a minibus that will take us to the town of Villafamés.

As soon as we arrive at our destination, we'll set off on a guided tour of the historic center of the village, which has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest. As we explore Villafamés, we'll tell you how its strategic location at the top of a hill has marked its history.

On the tour, we'll admire the façade of the church of La Asunción and the stone houses so characteristic of this town and the castle, which date back to the times of Muslim rule. Do you want to discover their fascinating history?

Next, we'll head to the Roca Grossa, a large mass of stone full of mystery where you'll get to make three wishes, although, according to legend, you'll only be granted one! You'll find out all about this fascinating natural monument on the tour.

The last stop will be at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villafamés, located in the Batlle Palace. In its exhibition rooms, we'll see numerous works of art that cover different artistic trends from the 1920s to the present - the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable excursion!

We'll finish the tour back in Castellón after a total of 5 hours.
